Congregation and Community Outreach Coordinator – part time
Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey - Central Administrative Office located in Burlington, NJ with 30 programs throughout New Jersey seeks a part time Congregation and Community Outreach Coordinator. Reporting to the Vice President of Fund Development and Marketing, this individual Supports the mission and values of Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey, which is: Through the power of the Holy Spirit, and in response to God’s love as revealed in the Gospel, the mission of the Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey is to serve those in New Jersey who hurt, who are in need, or who have limited choices.
Serves as the primary agency contact with congregations and fraternal organizations and the community for both “friend raising” and solicitation of in-kind donations of goods and of annual gifts.
Performs outreach activities, including but not limited to sermons, temple talks, forums, cluster meetings, to Lutheran congregations in NJ, with special emphasis on those having a supportive/sustaining relationship with LSM/NJ.
Participates in ELCA, LC-MS, WELCA, and LWML events, conferences and activities including set up/break down of display and covering the booth during the event.

Qualifications
BS degree in social services or related human services field
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evening and weekends
Strong knowledge of the Lutheran Churches and Congregations in NJ
Strong people and communication skills
Willingness to travel throughout the state
