Refugee Healthcare and Education Coordinator

Lutheran Social Ministries, a non-profit organization, seeks an energetic individual to coordinate healthcare and educational casework activities for newly arrived refugees and asylees. These activities include preparing service plans, which may include behavioral, medical, mental, and educational referrals for each client.  Update and monitoring these plans in a timely manner is another key aspect of this position.  Direct service provision will be necessary.  The full-time position reports to the supervisor of Refugee and Resettlement Program.  Other responsibilities include maintaining regular contacts with referral agency staff assigned to each client in order to maintain communication and consistency with client and family management to meet policies and procedures and ensure regulatory compliance with outside agencies.  The ideal candidate will have BA/BS degree in related field and minimum one year related experience.  Valid driver’s license is required. Must possess leadership qualities and effective communication and writing skills, have ability to multi-task, maintain an organized calendar, and work with multicultural population.
