Adoption Options
As a licensed child-placing agency since 1948, LSM/NJ offers compassionate, caring services for all those involved in the adoption process. We place both infants and older children into adoptive homes through our Infant Open Adoption Program and our Waiting Child Adoption Program.
We offer comprehensive services to help families who are hoping to adopt an infant thorough our Infant Open Adoption Program or a child in the foster care system through our Waiting Child Adoption Program.
An Adoption Counselor is available to speak with you about our two programs. After receiving and reading through our initial information packet, adoptive parents choose to participate in either our Infant Open Adoption Program or the Waiting Child Program. When this decision is made, LSM will mail out the application packet for the respective program and set up an initial meeting with the adoptive parents. Adoptive Parents are required to attend LSM/NJ’s Adoption Education Course to learn about adoption issues pertinent to adopting an infant and children out of foster care.
Our Adoption Services provide free counseling for birthparents and help to those interested in building a family through adoption. Our program also offers free Pregnancy Options counseling for birthparents and guidance and assistance to those interested in growing their family through adoption.
