• Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey is an affiliate of Lutheran Disaster Response (LDR), a collaborative ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
  • The mission of LDR is to demonstrate Christ’s compassion for people by promoting hope, healing, and wholeness for disaster survivors.

Examples of LDR in action by:

  • Collaborating with congregations to provide disaster preparedness leadership in New Jersey communities.
  • Striving to serve survivors of disasters in a timely, compassionate and competent manner through a coordinated, community-based system involving all Lutheran entities.
  • Working through interfaith partnerships, as well as with federal, state, and local agencies, to respond to “unmet needs” that occur as a result of disaster in New Jersey.

Get Involved!

  • Volunteer to join a work team that will assist in recovery and rebuilding efforts.
  • Provide financial and material donations to assist victims of disasters.
  • Offer prayerful support to the workers as well as those affected by disasters.
