Household Items Needed

To accommodate an increasing number of arrivals, LSM/NJ’s Immigration & Refugee Services is seeking the following donation items.

Furniture – in "like new" condition:

  • Sofas, loveseats, couches.
  • Dining room/kitchen tables, chairs.
  • Lamps (standing and table).
  • Dressers and chests of drawers.
  • Beds (mattresses, box springs and frame) -- double and twin size only, as they are much easier to move.  Many clients reside in walk-ups with narrow hallways or have really small bed rooms.  This also helps us to maximize our storage unit and make sure that all clients receive similar items.

Drop Off and Pick Up Arrangements may be coordinated as noted:

  • Pick up furniture items between the hours of 10am and 2pm Monday through Friday.
  • Drop off at our storage facility in Robbinsville, NJ between the hours of 9am and 3pm Monday through Friday.
  • If available at a given time, meet at a client's home between the hours of 9am and 3pm Monday through Friday.

Grocery gift cards – such as Shop Rite, Wal-Mart, etc.

  • Clients can pick out what they prefer, especially with the diversity of the clients served.
  • No storage or spoilage concerns.
