ADOPTION OPTIONS - Building Families Since 1948

We offer a multifaceted statewide adoption program, focused on building healthy families and supporting all those touched by adoption.

Birth Parent Information

Facing an unplanned pregnancy can be a scary, stressful, and confusing time. But it is important to know that you have choices and we’re here to help.

Adoption Options staff provides birth mothers and birth fathers with one-on-one, non-coercive, non-judgmental, confidential counseling at no cost. A licensed social worker will meet with you to discuss options and provide you with the factual information necessary for you to make the best decision for you and your child—whatever that decision may be.

When creating a loving adoption plan, we recognize that it is a lifelong decision made with love and courage. However, this decision can also come with feelings of guilt, grief, and loss. Our program offers free, ongoing counseling—beyond placement—to assist you in managing and processing the emotions that you may feel.

Financial Help Is Available

Adoption Options will provide you with assistance in locating community resources to meet your immediate needs--such as medical care, housing, legal assistance, food, etc.  We are also able to provide support in the form of financial assistance for specific living expenses during your pregnancy.  Every person’s situation is unique and your adoption counselor will work closely with you to support you in whatever decision you make.

We are available to talk by phone and will gladly meet with you at your convenience.
