Report to the Community
For a comprehensive look at LSM/NJ and some of its programs and services, read our Annual Report to the Community. This “year in review” magazine provides an up-close look at a few LSM/NJ programs, current and future development projects, and its 2012 accomplishments. This year’s edition also includes an article on the impact super storm Sandy had on New Jersey residents and how LSM/NJ responded to meet their needs.
2013 Journal Of Philanthropy
The 2013 Journal of Philanthropy is a reflection of the many who support the work of Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey (LSM/NJ). Our priorities are encapsulated in LSM/NJ’s new tag line—Your need is our mission.—and speaks to our commitment to accompany people along life’s pathway. Alone, our resources are limited. But when we are united in purpose—to serve those who hurt, who are in need, or who have limited choices— we can do amazing things.

Heroes of Hope – featuring Lutheran Social Ministries of Camden and New Visions Homeless Day Shelter
Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey was selected to produce a segment for “Heroes of Hope,” a documentary programming vehicle that specializes in producing documentaries on subjects that elicit thought, provoke further learning and raise awareness for a variety of benevolent purposes. Narrated by Hugh Downs and distributed to public television stations, our segment highlights LSM Camden’s Community Redevelopment Project of 89 site homes in a defragmented Camden neighborhood that is plagued with drugs and gang violence and New Visions Homeless Shelter for men, women and children in Camden.
The segment will air on Public Television in May 2010– we will publish the air dates as soon as we can.
