IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 18, 2016

Burlington, NJ – The Villa at Florham Park was dedicated to serving those in need of living and health care services during a Blessing and Reception this past Wednesday, November 16. The event also provided an opportunity to introduce this new resource and neighbor to the Florham Park and greater Morris County community at large.

Formerly known as Saint Anne Villa, ownership of this local landmark at 190 Park Avenue, Florham Park, NJ was transferred in early October from the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth to Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey (LSMNJ). Now, as the newest member of the LSMNJ family, the facility is open to the public and offers residential care for seniors and others requiring assistance with activities of daily living or health care. Current services provided include assisted living, nursing care, memory support, rehabilitation, and respite care.

The blessing service began with the words “ Let the doors be opened” as General Superior of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth Sister Rosemary Moynihan passed a symbolic key to LSMNJ President and CEO Colleen Frankenfield. Bishop of the New Jersey Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Tracie Bartholomew and 3rd Vice President of the New Jersey District Lutheran Church of the Missouri Synod Andrew Reverend Andrew Dinger officiated over the service. Staff members representing the various operational departments within The Villa read different scripture passages focused on and dedicating the building as well as the many services and support available to residents. Following the service, friends, family, and colleagues joined residents, staff, and management of The Villa and LSMNJ at a reception celebrating both the heritage and the future of The Villa.

In addition to The Villa at Florham Park, LSMNJ addresses various human and social needs through senior living and healthcare, affordable housing, adoption, disaster recovery, and diverse other< programs in 19 locations across New Jersey.
