Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey is an affiliate of Lutheran Disaster Response (LDR), and therefore coordinates local efforts to support the mission of LDR.
Lutherans Feeding Friends
This program was designed to support food pantries across the state. Through financial contributions and donations of canned goods and non-perishable items, we are able to support and replenish the shelves of food pantries, as well as provide training to the churches and community members who manage New Jersey food pantries.
New Visions Homeless Day Shelter
Located in Camden, New Visions Homeless Day Shelter provides a daytime safe haven for men, women and children to receive a nutritious meal (breakfast and lunch), a hot shower, and access to job placement assistance and social services. We work to serve those who are in need or who have limited choices.
Speakers Bureau
Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey offers free presentations, workshops and other educational opportunities on a variety of topics to congregations, church groups, community and civic organizations, senior centers and business groups.
