For Birthparents

At Adoption Options we seek to provide birthparents facing an unplanned pregnancy with one-on-one, non-coercive, non-judgmental, confidential options counseling at no cost. A licensed social worker will meet with you to discuss your available options and to assist you through the decision making process. Your counselor will provide you with the factual information necessary for you to make the best decision for you and your child– whatever that decision may be.

When making an adoption plan, we recognize that it is a lifelong decision made with love and courage. However, this decision can also come with feelings of guilt, grief, and loss. Adoption Options offers ongoing counseling, beyond placement, to assist you in managing and processing the emotions that you may feel.

Facing an unplanned pregnancy can be a stressful and confusing time. Adoption Options hopes to ease this anxiety by providing counseling to assist you in making a decision, free from pressure. It is our goal for you to feel honored and respected throughout the process and that your decision is one that you feel comfortable with and positive about.
