Lutheran Disaster Response
Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey is an affiliate of Lutheran Disaster Response (LDR), a collaborative ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
The mission of LDR is to demonstrate Christ’s compassion for people by promoting hope, healing, and wholeness for disaster survivors.
Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey collaborates with congregations to provide disaster preparedness leadership in New Jersey communities. We strive to serve survivors of disasters in a timely, compassionate and competent manner through a coordinated, community-based system involving all Lutheran entities.
Working through interfaith partnerships, as well as with federal, state, and local agencies, we are able to respond to “unmet needs” that occur as a result of disaster in New Jersey.
