Your Support
Over the years, Crane’s Mill has been the recipient of many generous donations from grateful residents and family members, as well as corporations, congregations and community groups. Financial donations have assisted with the purchase of the Crane’s Mill van, a garden gazebo and a flat screen television for the common area.
In addition to financial contributions, we often receive donations of items from community groups and organizations for our skilled nursing and assisted living residents, such as knitted lap blankets and handmade holiday greeting cards. Many individuals also volunteer their time to read to patients or provide entertainment to our residents.
Whatever the support, we greatly appreciate those who reach out to extend their support to our community.
There are many ways to make a financial contribution to Crane’s Mill:
Bequests
A bequest is a charitable gift planned through a will or a living trust. Bequests are visionary by nature and are a thoughtful means of providing for beneficiaries, including charities supported during a benefactor’s lifetime, after the death of a benefactor.
Naming Crane’s Mill as a beneficiary in your will is a particularly personal way of continuing your lifetime annual support. A specific amount may be indicated, or you may specify that a fixed percentage of your estate is left after final expenses and special gifts are made. Bequests may be modified as circumstances warrant and benefactors specify how estate gifts should be used.
Brick Walkway
Leave a permanent legacy by having a brick inscribed with your message or sentiment to a loved one or friend. It is a great way to honor or memorialize someone or commemorate a special occasion. The bricks are used to create a special walkway near the main entrance of Towne Square at Crane’s Mill. Proceeds from the brick walkway benefit the Crane’s Mill Good Samaritan Fund. Good Samaritan Fund
Our commitment to charity care and benevolence is profound. Each year, we raise a substantial amount of money to support residents in our Assisted and Skilled Living units who can no longer fully afford to pay for their care. By contributing to Crane’s Mill’s Good Samaritan Fund, you are personally touching the lives of many of our residents who are faced with financial hardship. The value of your support goes far beyond its financial worth. Your tax deductible contribution will help us continue our mission of providing compassionate, quality care to those in need.
Tree of Life (Honor/Memorial Wall)
You can honor or remember a loved one by purchasing an acorn, a gold, silver or bronze leaf on the Crane’s Mill Tree of Life, or a Founder’s stone, located at the base of the tree. Making a tribute gift in their name and designating the gift to Crane’s Mill is a great way to support our community. If you are looking for a way to celebrate or acknowledge a special occasion or event – a birth or birthday, anniversary or other celebration, you can make a donation in their name. You can also purchase an acorn, leaf or stone to honor an employee or program.
Founder’s Stone: $100,000 and above
Acorn: $50,000 – $99,999
Golf Leaf: $10,000 – $49,999
Silver Leaf: $5,000 – $9,999
Bronze Leaf: $1,000 – $4,999
Each acorn, leaf or stone is engraved to permanently recognize your gift. The Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey Development Office will assist you in creating your personalized inscription. Capital Campaign
Crane’s Mill is working to raise significant dollars to fund the renovation of its Health Center (Phase III). The renovation will expand and reconfigure the current offering of 60 assisted living apartments into 48 assisted living apartments plus a separate 17 apartment memory support wing. Through philanthropic contributions our Capital Campaign goal is to raise $1,000,000 over the next five years.
Take stake in the future of Crane’s Mill and make a contribution today. Your tax deductible contribution will provide a lasting gift for all current and future Crane’s Mill residents.
Endowment Fund
Crane’s Mill’s new major-gift program lets you create an endowed fund to support a specified program at Crane’s Mill or a significant equipment purchase.
The endowed fund program provides both immediate and long-term benefits to Crane’s Mill Continuing Care Retirement Community. Through the endowed fund program, your contribution (the principal) is held in reserve and the earnings it generates go toward the program that you determine. The principal continues to grow, and the yearly payout provides Crane’s Mill with continuing support. The endowed fund program offers you an opportunity for significant philanthropy while providing you with important benefits. For an initial donation of $25,000.00, you can establish an endowed fund in your name, someone of your choice, or anonymously.
Your charitable gift can bring you significant tax advantages. If you wish, you can make your gift as a multi year pledge, and you can increase your gift amount at any time. Your family and friends can also donate in your honor to your fund. For more information, please contact Susan Arnold, Vice President of Fund Development and Marketing at 609.699.4108.
