Year-Round Opportunities:

Groceries & Gift Cards
Provide gifts of nourishment to Housing Program Residents living on fixed incomes. Non-perishable items and canned goods, as well as gift cards to Shoprite, Pathmark, A&P, and Walmart are a great way to assist our residents.
Hygiene Bags
Many of the residents in our Housing Programs are on a limited or fixed income and are always in need of basic necessities. Donations of hygiene kits are always welcomed year-round. We can provide the bags for you to fill with everyday necessities, such as; toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, soap, a comb or brush, and other basic needs.
Picture Dictionaries for Incoming Refugees
Immigration & Refugee Services requests monetary donations towards the bulk purchase of Oxford Picture Dictionaries, including Karen-Burmese-English and Chin-Burmese-English, to assist incoming refugees as they become familiar to their new surroundings.
Household Items for Immigration & Refugee Program
LSM/NJ’s Immigration & Refugee Program is grateful to receive any of the following items:
- Computers (PCs) – New computers to replace old computers in our computer lab – which are shared with an after-school program at a Lutheran Church in Trenton.
- MP3 Players – MP3 players help provide an alternative delivery method for clients to listen to recorded class materials when they are unable to attend class.
- Furniture and household (in “like new” condition) – see our detailed list of furniture items. I&R List of Furniture Needed
- Gift Cards – Gift cards of any amount are always needed for our refugees (Walmart, Shoprite).
- International Phone Cards – are always helpful for our refugees.

Emergency Clean-Up Buckets
Lutheran Disaster Response helps those affected by natural disaster. With donations of 5-gallon buckets loaded with cleaning supplies, masks and gloves, we are able to offer much needed necessities during natural disasters.
