70 Years of Caring For Seniors
On June 22, 2017, Lutheran Crossings Enhanced Living at Moorestown (NJ) — offering assisted living, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation — will celebrate its 70th anniversary of caring for seniors.
As part of Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey (LSMNJ), a grace-filled, mission-driven non-profit social service organization, Lutheran Crossings provides a continuum of care tailored to meet each resident’s individual needs. First known as the Lutheran Home, its campus is filled with a rich heritage that dates back long before its 1947 opening as a home for the aged. The original building, Breidenhart Castle, is located on the front of the Lutheran Crossings’ campus. This Moorestown landmark carries some of its own incredible history, with previous renowned homeowners such as Samuel Leeds Allen, inventor of the Flexible Flyer sled, and Eldridge R. Johnson, inventor of the Victor Talking Machine.
Lutheran Crossings is launching a year-long celebration to recognize this important milestone. “We have numerous events planned throughout the next 12 months that will allow us to celebrate with various groups, including our residents and their families, our employees, the Lutheran Crossings’ Auxiliary, local churches and the community, as well as those we partner with in serving our residents’ needs,” explains Carl Tarbell, vice president and executive director of Lutheran Crossings.
As part of the celebration, the community is offering a move-in discount for those interested in assisted living. Qualified applicants for assisted living, who choose to make Lutheran Crossings their new home and move in by the end of June 2017, will receive a special discount incentive (the discount is based on suite selection and individual level of care charges).
Upcoming 70th anniversary community events will be posted on the Lutheran Crossings website at lutherancrossings.org, on its Facebook page, and in local newspapers.
