Angelo Del Russo Appointed to Lutheran Social Ministries of NJ Foundation Board

Burlington, NJ—Long time supporter of Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey (LSM/NJ), Angelo Del Russo was recently nominated to serve on the LSM/NJ Foundation Board of Trustees. Mr. Del Russo is the Founder/CEO of Del-Sano Contracting Corporation general contractors and engineers based out of Union, NJ.

Angelo Del Russo has sponsored many LSM/NJ events over the years and provided generous contributions. Recently, under Del Russo’s encouragement Del-Sano Contracting partnered with LSM/NJ to host a toy and clothing drive for children and families impacted by Superstorm Sandy.

“I am excited to join the LSM/NJ Foundation Board and have the opportunity to get involved with the many great works of LSM/NJ on a deeper level,” explained Mr. Del Russo.

Existing board members also took on new roles. Juhan Runne is now serving as the board chair. He brings valuable expertise to his position as a partner for Archer & Greiner P.C. Attorneys at Law. Cynthia Markus took on the role of secretary. Currently a recruiter for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Markus became part of the board shortly after joining Thrivent, three years ago. Dave Schoenherr, now serving as treasurer, spent his career in commercial banking, and retired from PNC where he was a lending officer. He has been a part of the LSM/NJ family for the past 30 years since he and his wife adopted their two, now grown, children through the LSM/NJ Adoption program.

The LSM/NJ Foundation along with dedicated board members serve to encourage, collect, and manage the distribution of funds donated for the financial support of LSM/NJ’s programs and services.

Beth Gebhart, executive director of Fund Development and the Foundation, expressed her enthusiasm with the changes, “With the appointment of Angelo Del Russo as our newest member and the new offices of our existing dedicated board members, I’m confident we will continue to thrive in raising necessary funds to support the various programs we provide to those in need.”
