Campbell Soup Foundation Awards New Visions $1,000 Grant

Campbell Soup Foundation recently awarded New Visions Homeless Day Shelter a generous grant in the amount of $1,000. The grant was a result of the ‘Dollars for Doers’ program, which recognizes Campbell Soup Company employee’s volunteerism.

Campbell Soup Company is a loyal supporter of New Visions. On Wednesday, April 9, during Campbell’s annual week of volunteer service, Make a Difference Week; employees volunteered their time serving lunch, provided by Campbell’s to New Visions patrons.

Kevin Moran, executive director of New Visions expressed his gratitude, “New Visions Homeless Day Shelter is fortunate to have such a wonderful partnership with the Campbell’s Soup Company.  The Campbell’s employees served our guests with dignity, with compassion, and with love.  The food that they served and the companionship that they shared is, as their slogan says, ‘Mmm!  Mmm! Good.’ New Visions is blessed to continue the relationship with our friends at Campbell’s Soup Company.”

New Visions is a daytime safe haven nourishing men, women, and children daily with food, friendship, social services, and personal care resources. Karen L, a Campbell Soup Company employee, reflected on her visit, “Anytime I have been to your shelter, your team is warm, welcoming and so appreciative of anything and everything.  To provide the people of Camden a place where they feel welcomed, safe, where they can take a shower, get a change of clothes…. is invaluable.  The work you do for the city of Camden is irreplaceable and the residents there are very lucky to have such an advocate fighting for them.  It is an honor to partner with you!”
