BURLINGTON — Monday, September 19, 2011 — Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey (LSM/NJ) is proud to welcome Mary Ann Conway as our Executive Director of Fund Development. In this brand new position, Mary Ann will focus on developing new fund raising initiatives and partnering with all programs and departments in LSM/NJ to support growth of our organization and fulfillment of our mission.

Mary Ann brings over 25 years of experience in the non-profit sector to the organization. In her most recent positions as Director of Development at Drexel University’s College of Engineering and, earlier, the Goodwin College of Professional Studies and the College of Information Science, she rejuvenated their dormant major giving programs, surpassing fund raising goals by 45%.

Beginning her career at the Lutheran Home at Germantown in Philadelphia, Mary Ann then worked as a consultant to The Philadelphia Protestant Homewhere she managed a newly purchased personal care residence in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia and later served in a similar capacity at the Lawndale campus. Soon Mary Ann was made Director of Admissions focusing on occupancy targets in Assisted Living and then promoted to Vice President of Marketing. In her next role as Executive Director at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County, she expanded organizational capacity with the addition of new and diverse funding streams, making it possible to serve twice the number of children.

Mary Ann is a Board Member of the Community Design Collaborative in Philadelphia, a community focused non-profit organization. She earned a Bachelor of Science at Temple University and a Master of Science at St. Joseph’s University. Mary Ann is a resident of Huntingdon Valley, PA
