Executive Director, Housing
We are proud to welcome Christine Houston-Lacy back to Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey as the new Executive Director of Housing. Christine first came to our non-profit in 2005 as the Director of Housing Management before moving on to Inglis Housing Corporation as the Director in 2008. In her current role, she oversees LSMNJ’s affordable housing portfolio that includes several affordable senior and family housing properties across the state.
Christine Houston-Lacy has been a member of IREM since 2012 and a CPM since 2013. During the course of her 30+ year career she has been employed as an Urban Planner, Property Manager, Director, Developer and Principal, serving Market, Elderly, Disabled and Family communities. She is currently the Principal of CELL Solutions, a full service consulting group for affordable housing development, property management and real estate acquisition.
She has published two property management manuals – “The Merry Manager Manual” and “Two Better Halves – The Service Coordinator/Resident Manager Relationship”. She holds multiple designations in the Federally Subsidized, Rural Development and Low Income Housing Tax Credit fields, including Assisted Housing Property Manager, C10P (Tax Credit), R515-STAR (Rural Development) and is a Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) and Certified Fair Housing Coordinator.
She was selected as CPM of the year for the Southern New Jersey IREM Chapter in 2016 and served as its President from 2017 until December 2020 when she was appointed by IREM Global as the Regional Vice President for Region 2 serving New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware for the 2021-2022 term.
