Christopher “CJ” Williams joined Crane’s Mill in the Spring of 2022 as Associate Executive Director, and has since been promoted to the Vice President and Executive Director role.
Born and raised in Henderson, NC, CJ graduated from Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, NC with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management. He also earned his MBA with a specialization in Healthcare Management from The University of Texas at Tyler in Tyler, TX. CJ completed his Administrator-in-Training at St. Joseph of the Pines Health Center in Southern Pines, NC. He also attended a doctoral EdD program in EdD studying Human Resources Development at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, but due to healthcare demands during the pandemic, he stopped the program during the dissertation phase to focus on his patients and staff. Recently, CJ was accepted into a Master of Accountancy Program at the University of North Dakota which started in Summer 2022.
For the past 7 years, CJ has led The North Carolina State Veterans Home – Kinston, a facility selected as one of the best Nursing Homes in America by U.S. News and World Report. Also, at Hillside Nursing and Rehab of Wake Forest, Pelican Health Henderson, and Pettigrew Rehabilitation Center. CJ has worked directly with patients, residents, and their families in a variety of different settings including CCRCs (Continuing Care Retirement Communities), skilled nursing centers, assisted living communities, hospitals, and PACE (Program All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) centers. CJ feels an overwhelming responsibility to advocate for the aging population and believes it was his calling and a pleasure to help ensure each resident receives quality care.
In his free time, he enjoys working out, playing tennis, reading, cooking, taking pictures, spending time with family and friends, and most of all going to New York City.
