Colleen was welcomed into the LSMNJ family in October 2014. Introducing her to staff at LSMNJ’s Burlington office, Bill McCracken, Chairman of the LSMNJ Board of Trustees said, “Colleen impressed our search committee with the breadth and depth of her career in faith-based long-term care. She brings to LSMNJ a track-record of success as a strong operational manager, respected leader for her staff, and perceptive visionary for organizational growth. Colleen’s experience and training coupled with her innate business acumen and high integrity make her the right person to lead LSMNJ into the future.”

Prior to joining LSMNJ, Colleen served as President and CEO of Pleasant View Retirement Community, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) located in Manheim, PA, where she provided strategic direction that resulted in construction of a new health care center and repositioning of existing facilities. Earlier in her career she was the vice president of quality, risk management, and compliance with Presby’s Inspired Life, worked as an attorney with legal firms specializing in health law and professional liability, and held various management positions with two suburban Philadelphia CCRCs and a skilled nursing facility. After earning a nursing degree from Felician College (Lodi, NJ), Colleen obtained a masters in health care administration from St Joseph’s University (Philadelphia, PA), earned her Juris Doctor from the Widener University School of Law (Wilmington, DE) and studied for a masters in business administration at West Chester University (West Chester, PA). Licensed as a registered nurse as well as a nursing home administrator, she is also a member of the bar in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Although she was born in Brooklyn, Colleen considers herself to be a native of New Jersey, having spent part of her childhood and early adulthood here. “Later, work and school took me into suburban Philadelphia,” she explains. “LSMNJ provided the opportunity to retrace my steps and relocate to New Jersey. Like many of the LSMNJ staff and the people we serve, my husband and I juggle work, parenting, and occasional needs of senior family members.”
