Mercy Gonzales, RN, CDP, CALA, LNHA

Mercy Gonzales recently re-joined Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey as Vice President, Community Based Services and Special Projects. She previously spent over 18 years with LSMNJ as an executive director, administrator, and director of nursing. Her career also includes hands-on and administrative experience with other local healthcare programs such as Parker Health Group, Fellowship Village Retirement Community, Merry Heart Nursing Home, and Troy Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A native of the Philippines, Mercy graduated there with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Makati Medical Center. Soon after, as a 20-year-old, she relocated to the United States—taking advantage of a professional opportunity to focus on geriatric healthcare. With positions available in Texas, New Jersey, and California, she joined a classmate in choosing New Jersey as her new home. Now a US citizen, Mercy settled in New Jersey where she continues to live with her husband and children.
