Sherry Outten Named VP & Executive Director of Lutheran Crossings at Moorestown

LSMNJ - Sherry Outten VP & Exec Director LCEL

Sherry Outten has been named as the new vice president and executive director for Lutheran Crossings Enhanced Living (LCEL) at Moorestown. Announcing her appointment, Colleen Frankenfield, president and CEO of Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey (LSMNJ) the parent organization of LCEL, stated, “ Sherry’s qualifications and proven success as an administrator in the field of senior living and healthcare make her the right person to establish Lutheran Crossings as a senior community of choice in the greater Moorestown area.

Most recently, Sherry was the associate executive director for The Quadrangle–a Sunrise Senior Living Community in Haverford, PA. While there, she was responsible for overall operations of this continuing care retirement community, led the effort to regain full licensure for a 115 unit personal care facility, and acted as the Nursing Home Administrator. Her career of more than 25 years in long-term care and senior services has been dedicated to ensuring the safe and comfortable care and housing of seniors. Sherry has consistently advanced within her profession taking on roles of increased responsibility such as executive director, administrator, and CEO and worked for various well-known organizations including Artemis Health Management, Presby’s Inspired Life, and Kendal. After graduating with a BS from Fairleigh Dickinson University, she later earned an MBA in Health Services Administration from Widener University’s School of Management. Sherry is licensed as a nursing home administrator in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is a licensed personal care administrator.

A longtime resident of Wenonah, NJ in Gloucester County, she is looking forward to advancing Lutheran Crossings Enhanced Living and its rich heritage within her own broader home community. Giving back is part of Sherry’s nature and work ethic and there is no place she would rather do so than at Lutheran Crossings and as a part of LSMNJ. She will join staff and residents in the start of a promising new year when she begins her new role with LCEL on Tuesday, January 13. LSMNJ is appreciative of the service of Joanne Schwartz, who will complete her assignment as the interim executive director for LCEL on Monday, January 12. Beth Sparling, vice president and executive director for Crane’s Mill—LSMNJ’s continuing care retirement community in West Caldwell, NJ—will assist at LCEL during the leadership transition.
