Hand-in-Hand Day

The recovery is not over. Volunteers are needed to continue recovery efforts and make a difference in the lives of the 35,000 families that still feel the effect of Superstorm Sandy.

Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey coordinates with long term recovery groups throughout the state to tackle projects that can be accomplished by a large group of volunteers in one day. LSMNJ’s Hand-in-Hand Days are held on Saturdays during the year, and volunteers participate in the rebuilding of homes and other projects that made a difference in the lives of those still affected.

Interested persons can fill out the online LSM Individual Volunteer Form which helps us to better understand your skills and abilities. We ultimately want to make the experience a great one so we see you again.
